Robert is Senior Assistant Vice President and General Manager of Tactical Air Support and the Tactical Air Support Logistics Network (TALON). TALON is a global provider of F-5 aircraft, engines, parts, and ground support equipment. Initially founded on the model of the US Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) and US Air Force’s Weapons School, Tactical Air Support is redefining government contracting as a non-traditional defense company focused on value-based, innovative, and technology-driven products and services for the US Armed Forces.
Prior to working at Tactical Air, Robert spent 12 years in the Commercial Air Services field as Vice President for Operations for Omega Air Refueling Services, Inc. Prior to that, he served as a Naval Flight Officer in the United States Navy for over 25 years. Robert was certified as an F-14 Radar Intercept Officer, instructor in Tactical Aerial Reconnaissance, and served as a Strike Warfare Instructor at the Naval Strike Warfare Center (Strike U) at NAS Fallon, Nevada. Robert flew numerous combat missions in the F-14 during Operations Southern Watch and Enduring Freedom.
His aviation experience also includes nearly 300 flight hours in the legacy F-18B and flight time in nearly every type aircraft in the Navy’s inventory including the F-18F, EA-6B, A-6E, S-3B, E- 2C, H-3, and SH-60. He served as Air Wing Operations Officer for Carrier Air Wing ELEVEN in USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. He participated in over 70 days of continuous combat operations during our country’s initial response to these attacks October thru December 2001. He also served as Third Battalion Officer on the staff of the Commandant of Midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy 2002-2005.
Robert earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics/Operations Analysis from the United States Naval Academy graduating cum laude with the Class of 1986. He also earned a Master of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United State Naval War College, again graduating cum laude.
