Our Team

Tanja Brown is the Chief People Officer at Tactical Air Support. Initially founded on the model of the US Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) and US Air Force’s Weapons School, Tactical Air Support is redefining government contracting as a non-traditional defense company focused on value-based, innovative, and technology-driven products and services for the US Armed Forces.

Tanja directs human resources policy, process, and procedures for Tactical Air Support, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and best practices. Tanja is also responsible for attracting and retaining the best talent for our diverse, innovative, and highly skilled team of aviation and business professionals. In her former role as a Human Resources/Operations Manager of a wealth management firm, Tanja was responsible for the management of all aspects of the firm’s day-to- day operations, its staff, and federal and state compliance matters.

Tanja came to Tactical Air Support as a strong believer in lifelong learning. Tanja nurtures and supports our culture of continuous improvement and has built a team of resilient problem solvers and people capital experts. She was previously employed for 15 years as a paralegal with the international law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP, working primarily with law partners in the corporate and estates/trusts practice groups.

Tanja earned a Bachelor of Science (summa cum laude) in Business Administration, and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Maryland. Tanja has attained her Project Management Professional (PMP®), Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) certifications, and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, acquiring all four top certifications (PHR®, SHRM-CP®, SPHR® and SHRM-SCP®).
