Andrew is the Vice President of Engineering and Technology at Tactical Air Support. Initially founded on the model of the US Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) and US Air Force’s Weapons School, Tactical Air Support is redefining government contracting as a non-traditional defense company focused on value-based, innovative, and technology-driven products and services for the US Armed Forces.
Andrew has nearly 30 years of experience within the aviation industry including Department of Defense Acquisitions, Developmental and Operational Test and Evaluation, to include more than seven years of Technology Developmental Engineering at Tactical Air Support. He has held multiple roles in the company including Vice President of Engineering and Technology, Director of Technology Development, Chief Engineer of F-5AT Design, Chief Flight Test Engineer and F-35 Senior Tactical Systems Analysts.
Prior to working at Tactical Air, Andrew served in the U.S. Air Force where he retired after 22 years of service. Some of his numerous assignments included: Commander of an Electronic Warfare Test Squadron, Director of Operations of a Space, Cyber and Electronic Warfare Test Squadron, Chief of Range Test Safety, and Senior Developmental/Operational Test Engineer on the F-22 and F-35 programs. Additionally, he served in combat during Operation Enduring Freedom while embedded with the 82nd Airborne as an Army Electronic Warfare Officer.
His aviation experience includes 650+ flight hours as a U.S. Air Force Flight Test Engineer in over 46 different type of military & civilian aircraft to include F-16D, F-15D/E, T-38B/C, F-5F, C-12, C-17, T-2, T-34, T-37, T-43, T-6 Texan, T-6B Texan II, B-52, KC-135, HU-16, U-6A NU-1B, UH-60 and NF-16D (X-62 VISTA). Additionally, he is a civil instrument rated pilot.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering: Computer Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University. Additionally, he is a graduate of both the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and the Sandia National Laboratories Nuclear Weapon Intern Program.
